I'll hold off leaving app feedback until the above issue gets fixed, but once it does I have only good things to say so far.FYI - I have the Droid X2, on Verizon, and I'm on a wireless network 90% of the time.
I added it last night and when I got up this morning it still had yesterday's date and information on it.
The only way I've found to get the widget to update is to tap it, open the app and then exit. I had updated Geir previously in a separate inquiry he had sent, but in testing the update - which takes 24 hours - we found additional update issues.
When I activate that setting, the widget updates properly. I have auto-refresh set to 15 minutes, and the "current conditions" notification off.
I'm not sure if you'll consider this a bug or if it's the expected behavior, but to me it feels like a bug, since you can disable the status bar notification and still leave 'Auto Update' on. If I leave it running overnight, the widget still shows yesterday's weather.
The only time i get the weather to update is to uninstall and reinstall the application.
Also when i open up the app it doesn't refresh like it should.
We did a lot of widget testing prior to this release and it passed our in-house testing, but we can't test on every device/carrier/OS combo.
OK, I think I figured it out - if 'Status Bar Notification' is off (so no temp appearing in the status bar), the widget does not update - for me anyway.
I'll submit a ticket as requested in case you still want me to load the debug build. That's not the way it should be working (as noted in my reply to your email, just wanted to duplicate that information here for those reading this thread) and if that is the case it could be a bug. I just downloaded your app a few weeks ago and everything was working fine up until a few days ago when I got my JB Android update. I have to remove the widget from my home page and then add it again to get the current conditions.
Then, the process starts all over again with not updating showing only the information from the last time I deleted/added the widget.
