Not really- you can (and should) only get updates via Live.
Using google I did find a place where you can download updates, but only TU's up to 11 are listed, (it's TU12 on the disk), then it jumps to TU15 & TU16 (which aren't even out yet- the next one is TU14), and a bunch of comments that those TU's are crashing their game (and I hope you know Spanish).
-Once the files have been burned to disc, remove that disc from your computer and insert it into the disc drive on your Xbox 360 console. -When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically.
Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.
Check with your service provider, but you might be able to make your phone a mobile hotspot, then connect your xbox wirelessly (via wifi) to that.
(Of course you'll have to have your phone on constantly while the xbox is connected.) Other than that, I think you're SOL.
Your phone will have to have a wireless hotspot service enabled in order for that to work.
If you have wireless hotspot capability it is as simple as turning on mobile hotspot, noting the ssid (the name you gave your hotspot) and the password, then on your xbox go to: Settings, System, Network Settings.
i have triad three times to burn an update CD and all three times failed i have triad putting the zip file on the CD that did not work then i triad putting the unzipped folder on the CD that did not work and finely i tried to put the file itself on the CD and it still don't work can someone who successfully updated their system this way please help me but all help would be apricated I'm going to guess that this will never work unless you're running a hacked DVD-ROM firmware.
Simply because you couldn't put in an exception just for system updates on burned media.
The Xbox recognized the DVD and proceded to do the update.
Then.....a blue screen displayed saying that the Xbox failed to update, please contact Customer Service. I assume this was ok since the xbox recognized it and proceeded with the update.
I've got the dashboard update from Lost Odysey to work, but I still can't play files through Windows Media Player 11 ( Which is suposed to work after the fall update ). anyone knows if this is included in the file you download from xbox.com? Bob I don't think the encoding is the problem here.
